The 900 second rule is an automated feature of APS. If you post more than 30 posts in a 6 hour period, the 900 second rule is autmatically activated. When this happens, you will only be able to make 1 post every 15 minutes (900 seconds) until enough time has passed . Do not be alarmed. You have not been singled out by moderators. You are not being punished. The rule applies to all members.
The purpose of this feature is to stop people from flooding the forums with single sentence, chat style posts. It is meant to encourage people to put a little more thought into their posts and not merely post to boost their post count (a meaningless exercise by the way).
Most people do not average more than 10 posts a day. This feature will never apply to these people. If you are posting more than 30 posts in a day, perhaps it is time to reflect on the quality of your posts and see if there is room for improvement.
There is no point complaining about this feature as it is here to stay. It has proved quite successful in stopping a very small minority from becoming serial pests. Most members agree that this function is a good idea. If you are one of the members that do not like this function then perhaps now is a good time for some quiet introspection.
