this might sound like im having a go at you. (i think its a pink tongue by the way due to the shape of the tail) but try to get it to open its mouth, and have a look at its tongue that will probably tell you
Without trying to sound rude but perhaps this should be left alone rather then someone try to force its mouth open. Considering you think it may be pregnant i would have thought you would have considered this.

Its a gravid Pink Tongue Cyclodomorphus gerrardii (recent mtdna studies on the have moved them from the monotypic Hemisphaeridon and the blue tongue genus Tiliqua).
Not all specimens have a pink colour to their tongue, so the common name is somwhat misleading and certainly not a means of reliable identification.
Yeah, i left it alone after i took the photo's and put some banana out for it last night which is all gone this morning as has the lizard so I'm assuming that it has eaten it and moved on.
Pink tongues are snail / slug specialists, and don't usually eat much that far gravid, it was probably using your paved area to get extra heat into the bubs.
