Anyone else's heat lamps keep blowing?

I had the same problem, but it apparently was because I was mixing brands! :rolleyes: If u hav a lamp of one brand, and a globe of another brand, they wont like each other. I swapped back to buying the globes the same as the lamp, and no problems anymore. Stupid companies making sure we stick with them! :rolleyes: Dont know if that helps. Good luck
 
I used to blow a few ,until i got the dimming thermostats havent had a problem since then im happy to say 8)

for some reason in perth over winter(storms) i used to chew through bulbs at quiet a high rate i use ceramic fittings and a dimming microclimate thermostat i think the only real way of beating it is to use ceramic bulbs i have a few that have been going for many years i think they are worth the extra outlay when you buy them as they dont seem to blow or at least if they do they dont for a long time
