Here are some photos of an axanthic black headed that hatched yesterday from our female het number 1.19. There were 3 axanthics in the clutch of 12 eggs , the rest being hets with some nice narrow banding.

We are eagerly awaiting the hatching of our first ever pure axanthic clutch from a mating of two unrelated lines of axanthic parents, believed to be a first in Australia.
The lines were proven to be compatible last year and we expect all the offspring to be axanthics, fingers crossed.

Hi Neil, great BHPs. Do you find that they go yellow at around 6 months?

Thanks Montay,
They do not go yellow as they age but they will remain black and white, as they do not have any yellow pigment in them.

Cheers.

Hi Cath, here is some update pics of the Axanthic girl I got off your Hubby a couple of years ago.

As you can see in the pattern, this girl is all heart, lol.

Cheers Andy.
