Goodluck to both of you.
sorry mate whats a hey? Thanks Redfox, also I think people go hey x albino because its easier o eat started by saving 800 bucks on buying hey instead of albino.
sorry mate whats a hey?
I know I'm just giving him back some lip cause he did the same to me earlier onI'm assuming 'hey' = hets (easy mistake to make).

im 15 and just brought my first albino. im on $10 a hour so that snake is alot of hours i don't think they are any disadvantages of inbreeding as long as you dont go past a few generations. my Het and albino are from separate clutches.Haha, it wasn't me correcting you? Anyway thanks for the help, and yes I did mean het. I think I am going to buy 2 hets and breed them, then raise up an Albino hatching and breed it to one of the hets. Is there any disadvantage to inbreeding snakes? I would do albino x het but working a part time job its hard to get the money together.
Do you still live at home though liamb561? that makes things alot easier.. i just moved back with the folks to save for a house... oh how sweet it is.. lol its nice to have a stocked fridge.. you can get albinos for around the 500 mark now.. i wouldnt pay 800 for one..
To the OP, How is your project going?
Okay here's my question:
If just 1 pair of distantly related albino's were bought for breeding, are they suitable to be bred with each other for the rest of their breeding years? do they need to be outcrossed at all even tho they are distantly related?
Anyone able to answer my question please?
Ok out of curiosity, does the same general rule apply for a caramel? I have a caramel coastal and I would also like to have a better understanding on the genetic tendencies of (I assume) the red gene.
