Good Morning All :)
i am a new owner of a Diamond Python.
"she" was approx 5 months old when I bought her.
i've had her just over a month now and couldn't be happier.
she is the most docile snake! she has never bitten me.
she's a great eater and she's growing really well!
she grew in length mostly the first month, now she is starting to get some width to her body!
the past 3 days she has been staying in her hide most of the day.
i'm guessing its b/c she might be shedding soon, otherwise i don't know if I should be worried.
Thanks.:)

Welcome to APS and Congrats on your Diamond my first snake was a Diamond also :) With her staying in her hide that could be because of coming into shed so not to worry because you said she is gaining weight which is good so I would just put it down to shedding.
Would love to see some pics :D

Josh

Good morning also to you Snake_lady!
And I agree with Josh, where are your photos?!
It's always good to here how people go with all of there little newbies :)
I have personally always wanted a diamond python, a black and white one to be precise ;)
My little children's python hides away for a few days before he sheds, but what are your temps like?
Em

Good Morning to you both :)
thanks for the positive feedback.
i have the temp set at 25 for night and 28 for day.
she has a water bowl too of course!
i hope the attachments work, these are from when she was a bit smaller

Thanks :)

I have quite a few, amost all are paired (I breed occasionally) My pic and avatar are a DCI and a Jungle Jag. I promised Em and others to post pics.I hope to do that next weekend (work/school this weekend) Jungles, Red Coastals, IJs, Savu, hog island boas, hypo boas, northern pines cal kings etc. And a breeding pair of beardies. They all have names for example, the 2010 Jungles have been named William and Kate. However I do not have a Diamond yet

Lovely Diamond you have there Snake_Lady.
Not a matter of if you get bitten, but when though.
I had an MD for 9 months and out of no where she decided to give me a love nip.
I also know of someone who got bitten, after 3 years, without warning.
Still waitnig for my Jungle to tag me. Lol.
