One of my Ridge Tail monitors passed ;-( need to find another mate for the girl.

Hi peoples went away for a month left my monitors in care of a friend and one passed away apparently two days before I got back they found him in the water dish gasping they then placed him under the heat lamp apparently wouldn't take food and the following morning he was gone no idea what the cause was no shed issues and the girl is plump as he was, so I am unsure of what has happened.

Still a little devastated losing the boy though he was one cool little fella.

Spoke to my vet and he said sometimes it just happens he had a look the the boy said he couldn't see anything wrong and the girl looked fine to him told me he could refer me to a vet that more specialises in the area if I wanted and just to keep an eye on her and not introduce another for at least a month or more just in case something was underlying with the other one as well now two months have passed and the girl seems fine she is as per normal eats sleeps and plays.

So I guess now that everything seems above board its time to move on and see if i can find a boy for my little girl.

I'm so sorry for your loss
I am hoping to get an Ackie some time soon and that would be horrible.

Thanks BH yep that's going to be the hard part I think is finding a boy for her not many ackies going around lately may have to find someone with some hatchlings in the future not many requests get filled in the WTB thread from what I see.

Anyway fingers crossed.
