Can snakes cough if they need to clear their airways?

Snakes don't have a diaphragm which means they can't cough. This is why when they are keep in incorrect environments they can easily get a respiratory infection

Well then if you get that symptom in a snake you need to get to the vet extra quick!!! ;-) They would also have difficulty getting a discharge from the eyes... and what does collapse look like for a snake.....
