@Bluetongue1 ... I feed him on his 450x450 heat tile out of a plastic bowl.
Snakes vary as to how they tackle their tucker. Some will strike and immediately coil, eating it then and there. Others will drag it off to a private spot like a hide or corner before consuming. Others drag and release a number of times before eating it. Yet others strike, release and leave it until they get interested. And individuals are not always consistent.

Obviously you would have the best knowledge of your snakes feeding behaviour.

Depending on that, you could try using a temporary cardboard box hide that fits neatly heat over the heat tile; Maybe feeding it in its normal hide using the stiff plastic sheet as a temporary base; Cut some plastic to temporarily place around the heat mat; Or quarantining to one part of the enclosure with just a length of cardboard from a packing box. Either that or feed it in the afternoon or evening when you don’t have to rush off to work or elsewhere.
