Hi all, and hope everyone is ready for a good easter, i officially have eaten my chocolate quota.

Anyway.

Just want to know everyones top 10 reptiles that they want to see at reptile type zoos etc, exotic or native.

Thanks

Some of New Zealands gecko species
a giant Komodo
a giant retic
King Cobra
Black Mamba
Vine Snakes
Diamondback Rattle Snake
File Snakes
A massive Darwin Kingy
Moloch.

what about a eyelash viper

Nice looking snake, fairly boring to observe..

To be fair, im less interested in the species, and more interested
in the display in some cases.

For example, i only have a minor interest in native mammals
but definately like seeing them cleverly displayed at Zoos etc..
(Like Worrel's reversal of day/night display).

I would get more out of seeing large impressive colony Egernia
in an appropriate natural display, over say 30 snakes in bare
basic displays.

King Cobra
Komodo Dragon
Black Kamen
Black mumba
eyelash viper
lance head viper
retic

And I'm sure there are others:D just to many to think at the moment:lol:

Pink, Blue, green and brown Iguana's for breeding programs.

IMO, more on rare and vulnerable less seen species then the common..

Agree, though it is a bit double edged, the more rare and vulnerable animals on display the less they are there for breeding unless the zoo has the facilities to run programs like that.

Exotic moniter Species. Rare Pythons. Anaconda's. Cobras, Over seas geckos . albinos ( any thing exotic) etc

i like to see rhino iguanas, perentie , retics , but really i like to just see some of the well set-out enclosures they are housed in , gives me a few ideas for when i get back home:)

Uroplatus Phantasticus! I know it's typical, but love the Gaboon Vipers as well.

Albino Burmese Python
