Sorry to refer to dogs again but a crossbred dog is not a hybrid.

Don't some people think that the different carpets are just variations of the same species. If so there is nothing wrong with it at all. If the offspring are viable the snakes are infact the same species and there is nothing wrong with it at all.

Yeah it would be interesting to see if the current recognised subspecies of carpet python were actually subspecies or just variations of one eastern subspecies or just one carpet python species.
