if hes going into shed he mightnt have gone far,..Loki dosent move once hes milky,...he just wants to hide.

i had 2 of mine get out the other night. its a top opening tank and the 6 month spotted and year old carpet both worked out if they push on the lid together it's enough to get out. the spotted i found trying to get back in the next day and the carpet was at the back sleeping on the fluro

I hope you find him, I know what it is like.

We lost our hatchling Albino Darwin Carpet (we are renovating also) but found it in an old plant pot under the house ..................LUCKY hope you are to.

Please let us know how you go.

i fouind mine wrapped up on the power cord behind his cage. check in all the small nooks near the cage, because he probably won't move to far from it, especially if he's going into shed.

Will keep you updated, will use the plastic bag idea, and am keeping all canine and felines OUT of the house...won't sleep tonight now

He'll turn up somewhere... Can't imagine he would've wanted to head outdoors in the last couple of days with the weather we've been having....

Relief!

*sighs* Found the naughty boy! Was in a drawer I searched earlier today, mum went back and looked and there was a very agitated bredli  so glad to have him back!

Not having a shot at anyone ,but I cant understand how your snakes get out ,dont you make sure the lid is on secure and that there is NO WAY it could get out before leaving the enclosure?..........sliding doors on enclosures should always be checked ......see this is the reason why elapid keepers need to be on an advanced licence ,imagine if they put up a thread "I lost my inland taipan ,hope he turns up inside my house somewhere" .......

like I said wasnt having a go ,,,but cant understand why and how ? you spend alot of money on snakes ,on the initial outlay of purchase then the setup ,then the keeping ,as well as the emotional attachment ..why wouldnt you check properly after putting your snake away ?....

Redbelly, im sure emily does check properly, but she was in a bit of a mess with being flooded n all.
She was probably in a hurry and just didnt realise she didnt close the lid properly. Be easy to do, ive left the house with the front door wide open plenty of times when i was in a hurry lol

Im worried when my baby gets out of her click clack and into the big enclosure, her click clack is in the enclosure and i always leave the sliding glass doors open as it gets hot in there. Its going to be hard to keep those doors closed once she is out of the click clack!

look anywhere that is close to his cage. where its dark and could be warm. Good luck
