great looking bredli ppl :) Swampie, I love the orangey tones in your male, stunning!

awesome bredli swampie--the colouring is really different

It may be fairly obvious to some, but be careful with those plastic tree stumps as seen in lutzd's first few pics. My female has a huge scar mid body from when she got stuck in one of those stumps. They should be removed or upsized as the snake's girth starts to get close to the diameter of the smallest hole.

Absolutely correct, Mr Bredli! Not a problem for my Bredlii yet, but my Olive outgrew his ages ago, so I took it out. He STILL gets under his old hide (http://www.aussiepythons.com/albums/album19/10230010b.jpg which look really funny - sorta like a snail, with the hide sitting on top of him! :) That was a while ago - he's much bigger now, but still likes to do it! :) :)

So Sdaji, when you say power feeding or generous feeding, how much do you feed and how often and what do you feed?

It depends on the species and how I feel. I've never feed any of my snakes regularly, so it's difficult to give you a description of the regime. The most frequently I've fed a snake was about 4-5 times a week (early this year), as much as she would eat, which was generally about 30% of her body weight, sometimes up to about 70%. This is exceptional of course and it's not something I do often. A few people have done similar trials and there are some published papers on the topic. I think Brian Barnett published some of his rapid growth scrubby results, quite a few years ago now.

I feed thawed rats and mice, occasionally chickens, pigeons, guinea pigs, rabbits... I don't think it makes much difference if it's a whole mammal. Birds are probably not much different.

so sdaji, how many rats would you sudgest i feed my two and a half year bredl to get up to breeding size next year,at the moment i am feeding one large rat every seven days
