if its a BTS then the photo of the head is terrible. the only reason i would think it's not a taipan is because the scales on the body dont look right. Plenty of taipans around rocky as well so commonality shouldnt be the deciding factor when ID-ing a snake. could be a BTS, doubt its a keelback, doubt even more that its a rough scaled snake. a better photo of the head is definitely required for a positive ID.
 
Its a BTS yes head is hard to see due to the ripples from the water and the length and thickness of the snake tells you its more towards a BTS rather than a keelback which is alot thicker also its not sporting the usual keelback grin! And OMG its not a Taipan!
 
Thanks Jack but I suppose its getting a bit stale now, if you go to AROD, the BTS pic used for colubrids is almost identical.
