breeders choice for all of my pythons and bearded dragons. As mentioned it my get ingested every now and then but passes through no problem. I have used it for about 8 years.
Prior to this i used washed pebbles (gravel) about 5mm in size, again no prob.
I have used bark and it looks great but very expensive if used in large enclosures.
sand also looks great although i don't recommend it for snakes.
After using heaps of different types of substrate I have found that breeders choice works best for me.
