I used to have a neighbour that kept snakes he was showing and my daughters one of his pythons he told me about this snake forrum

Slateman forced his then 5 year old son to make him a website. Adam didn't see daylight again till he was 10. Prior to that there were two forums of any note, one on Yahoo and one on MSN. Both message based,. A few others came and went. Slateman used to do chat as well and poached a lot of members from the other sites but lets be honest, there wasn't much competition. His allowing of the site to be a focus for chit chat has been one of the big pluses for the longevity of the site. Not just a reptile forum but a social forum as well. There a marriages and children as a direct result of this forum, there are vendettas still being fought by some. Love it, hate it or just put up with it. It is one of the foundation stone of the contemporary reptile hobby scene here.
Oh I joined under pseudonym originally, I cant even remember what it was. I settled in as Peterescue eventually. The early days were a lot of fun. Muhahahaha!
