Well I certianly have not been following it from the very start of jags which originated overseas. So I may be wrong.?
The name JAG was given to the type of coastal carpet python that was being bred overseas due to the pattern resembling a Jaguar (Cat) color & pattern.
The name RPM in Aussie is probably (to me anyway) more apropriate, as I & some others have Caramel reduced patern modified carpets that resemble nothing like the color of a Jaguar. Call em what you like, you will certianly know a good quality one when you come across it.
